Back by popular demand, Fe University will again offer a cross-country ski instruction course in two sessions, Feb. 27 and March 1 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the MECCA warming cabin in Mercer. Instruction will be targeted for adults, including older adults, who perhaps ski a little but feel they would ski more if they improved their technique. Instruction will begin with the basics but will also focus on the needs of the students beginning with classic style and making the transition to skate skiing for those students who want to try the skating method. Students must have the ability to stand on skis and are required to supply their own equipment.
The class will be taught by Chad McGrath. McGrath, has taught cross-country skiing for over 25 years, to well over 500 individuals. He has led groups of skiers on treks through the Porcupine Mountains, has skied the SISU race several times and the American Birkebeiner 14 times. Join him for some pleasant, laid-back skiing instruction at Mercer’s own MECCA.
Enrollment is limited to 8 students, so register early.
