Fe University offers Basic Conversational Spanish

March 12, 2018 @ 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm
Hurley School
Wendy Thiede

Since 22 Fe University students had such fun learning Spanish last year, Fe University will again offer Basic Conversational Spanish in eight 90 minute sessions, Mondays and Wednesdays, February 26th through March 21st, 2018. The class will be taught by Hurley School Spanish teacher, Natalie Patritto and held at the school from 3:30 to 5:00PM. She will tailor the instruction to the skill level of the students, beginners or previous students.
The course will cover useful Spanish conversation for travel or enrichment along with the basics and review for experienced students. Pronunciation, basic grammar, greetings, numbers, ordering at a restaurant, typical foods and transportation terms will be explored. “Come prepared to have fun!” says instructor Patritto. Bring only a notebook and folder to hold handouts.
Natalie Patritto graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in English and a minor in German. Later, she received a license to teach Spanish through the University of Minnesota-Duluth and received graduate credits in Spanish from Northern Michigan University. While teaching high school Spanish for the last 26 years she has taken students and adults on trips to Europe- including Spain, Costa Rica and New York City. In addition to teaching, she has done translating for individuals, law enforcement, and companies.
