Red Bull 400

May 12, 2018 all-day
Copper Peak

An unbelievably grueling 400-metre sprint to the top of a dry ski jump will be putting athletes to the ultimate test in the USA’s Great Lake State – learn about the world’s toughest run right here.

It’s time to limber up your leg muscles and get ready for the hardest 400m of your life. For the first time since 1994, Copper Peak, the iconic ski flying hill in Ironwood, Michigan, will once again play host to another international competition on May 12, 2018. This time, however, the competition and format will look completely different from what gained the jump worldwide recognition. The event will be none other than Red Bull 400, the world’s steepest 400m race.

Copper Peak is the USA’s undisputed home of sky flying, a sport that makes ski jumping looks like child’s play and involves much greater heights, speeds and distances. Numerous International Ski Federation events have taken place here – but this time around the competitors will be going up the 145m hill instead of down it.
