Come to the beautiful NLDC grounds to learn the basics of ice fishing in Wisconsin! Tackle is provided, or you are welcome to bring your own. John Heusinkveld and Ryan Wahlgren will teach basic tackle set up and techniques such as jigging, shelters, tip ups, lure selection and more. We then head out onto our own Statehouse Lake to try for panfish and northern pike. Dress as warmly as possible, especially winter boots, windproof outer garments and warm gloves or mittens. Participants must possess a valid Wisconsin DNR fishing license to attend. Space is limited. Advanced registration is required by 2/20. $20 ($15 members) Kids under 12 are free.
