Snowmobile Trails December 13, 2018
Mercer Area Sno-Goers
Conditions- Early Season
Weather forecast took a turn for the worse today with temperatures predicted to be in the mid-high 30's Friday-Sunday. We do not recommend riding on the trails this weekend. Let's hope for some snow and cold weather.
We continue to work on trails, but as of today only Trail 17 (the grade) is open. Additional trails are open in the Hurley area.
Our 24 Hour Snow Line at 715-476-SNOW will be updated regularly with Iron County Trail conditions.
If you would like more information on the Mercer Area, please give us a call at 715-476-2389.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this seasonal transition time.
Ski and Snowshoe Trails December 11, 2018
The trails are open for early-season skiing. Be careful: The trails' base will be hard and icy until we get more snow that can be groomed.
The Cabin should be open during the day. Please forgive us if there is a day or two that it may be forgotten as we get back into the swing of opening and closing. Stay tuned and check skimecca.org for news and updates.
Ski Trails are open, but "B" skis or rock skis recommended.
Snowshoe Trails are groomed and in great shape except for water flowing on the Highland Loop creek crossing.
Check winmantrails.com for news and updates.
Ice thickness is all dependent on the lake or body of water that you are on. So please use caution and be weary of anywhere you decide to go ice fishing, conditions can change at any time. Check Fishing Reports for more details.
