Aladdin and His Magic Lamp continues the Prairie Fire Children’s Theatre (PFCT) tradition of retelling the classics – with a musical twist. With an original script and music by Daniel Nordquist, up to 70 local young people are needed to play The Roles Of Alladin, Harmonia, The Sultan, Princess Serena, Zanda the Tiger, The Vizier, The Genie of the Ring, The Slaves of the Lamp And Ring, The Maidens, The Vagabonds, The Merchants ff Bazaar, and The Giant Gemstones. Two professional actors from Prairie Fire will direct the show and portray The Genie of the Lamp and The Evil Magician

Auditions will be held on Monday, June 25, starting at 9:00 am. The audition process lasts up to two hours and all those auditioning are required to be in attendance for its entirety. Auditions are open to anyone age 7 – 18 No preparation or experience is necessary for the audition. Roles are available for singers, non-singers, dancers, non-dancers and anyone with enthusiasm for theatre!
Rehearsals Some actors may be required to start rehearsing following auditions. For the remainder of the week (Tuesday through Friday), rehearsals will be held from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, with performances scheduled for Saturday June 30 at 2:00pm and 6:00 pm..
