The Fall Celebration features a live auction with Danny O’Sullivan of O’Sullivan auctions, silent auctions, a Book Basket raffle, and a wine pull raffle. Items for the live and silent auctions have been donated by local businesses and residents, and those who attend the event will have a chance to bid on handcrafted arts, painting, and photography; vacation stays in Costa Rica, Virginia, and Arizona; a dinner and pontoon cruise; a guided hike or pontoon cruise with local naturalists; a scenic flight; and much more. A full list of auction items will be posted on the library’s website at www.mercerpubliclibrary.org.

The always-popular “Book Basket” raffle includes nine baskets this year, each featuring a book and items around a theme. This year’s basket themes include musky lures, dragonflies, pizza, coffee, gardening, bees, baking/desserts, picnic, and Wisconsin Badgers. The Friends of the Library are also raffling an American Girl doll with all the accessories she needs to enjoy our Wisconsin winters, including a snowboard, skating outfit, and winter gear. Tickets are available now at the library, and the winners of both raffles will be drawn at the Fall Celebration.

Tickets for the event are $30 per person and include a full Italian dinner catered by Reuland’s, wine, beer, soda, and dessert. This popular event usually sells out, so don’t delay. Tickets are available now at the Mercer Library.

All proceeds from the event will support the Friends of the Mercer Public Library, who support a wide variety of programs and projects outside the library’s regular budget. For more information or for tickets, call the Mercer Library at (715)476-2366.
