Join us in honoring the men and women who have preserved the history of Manitowish Waters, and explore the town’s earliest pioneers. The community members honored will be inducted into the Manitowish Waters Leaders of Historic Preservation. Following the awards, local historians Ruth Gardner and Jim Bokern will share newly discovered research regarding Manitowish Water’s earliest pioneers and their stories.   The evening includes a reception with hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. The evening is sponsored by the North Lakeland Discovery Center and Manitowish Waters Historical Society. Admission for this event is free, while donations for beverages and hors d’oeuvres would be appreciated. Seats may be limited, so plan to arrive early! Program held at North Lakeland Discovery Center.
