Fill your day with the vibrant colors of alcohol ink as we explore this fun and exciting medium.  No art experience is needed to experiment and create.  In this workshop you will be introduced to the various techniques Lisa uses in her work with inks on tile, Yupo paper, and canvas panels.  Lisa will demonstrate ways to move and manipulate the ink to create abstract paintings, fun flowers, and land & seascapes.  After each demonstration, participants will enjoy time to play with the ink and create in a relaxed atmosphere.

Artist statement – I started exploring alcohol ink just a couple of years ago and enjoy the way this medium flows, and does the unexpected.  It is a fast and fun way to create.  The ink makes a pattern, and then I decide where the next step is going to take me.  Being a bit abstract with the brilliant colors, I always tell people that if they want to “happy up” a little spot in their home, all they need is a little alcohol ink art piece.

Lisa Krueger – Lisa Krueger lives in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, where she is inspired by the beauty of the northwoods.  She works in a variety of mediums, such as; watercolor, pastel, acrylics, mixed media, and alcohol ink.  Lisa also enjoys sharing with others by teaching and helping her students grow creatively, and to enjoy their artistic process.  Her art can be found in area galleries, and the public can view her work at her creative space – Oak View Studio, as a part of the Northwoods Art Tour.  northwoodsarttour.com
