Description

All of us in the Northwoods love and appreciate the beauty of “Fall.”  Join Darcy Lanz-Sage for this Gelli Printing Workshop using “leaves” as our subject!  In this workshop we will play with the gelli-plate using leaves and subtle textures. We will experiment with different types of acrylic paints (although we will mostly use Golden Paint “Open” Acrylics because of their extended working time) on a variety of papers.  Participants should gather their own leaves and press them in a heavy book before coming to the workshop.  Gather a wide variety of leaves (and plants and grasses) that you are attracted to! Paints, papers, brayers, and texture items will be provided. Darcy will bring a variety of leaves, too!

If you have your own Gelli Plate, please bring it to the workshop  (8” x 10” or 6” x 6” are good size gelli plates).  Re-usable Gelli Plates can be purchased online and at most Hobby Lobby or Michael’s Craft Stores.  Gelli Arts and Gel Press are 2 brand name Gelli Plates.  Temporary Gelli plates can be made using unflavored Knox Gelatin. Children ages 8 and up are welcome with a parent (free of charge). Bring a lunch!
