The Garland City Consort is a relatively new orchestra recently formed in the Ashland area to provide performances of wonderful baroque music throughout northern Wisconsin and Michigan’s western UP. This chamber orchestra from the Chequamegon Bay area returns to the Historic Ironwood Theatre with music by Vivaldi, Telemann, Graupner, and Handel.
The name “consort” is a late renaissance to early baroque term, meaning a “…random assemblage of instruments.” The newly formed group is composed of musicians who range in age from teens to seniors.
Free admission, all donations to support the Theatre. Thanks to the musicians for their generosity!
