What to wear: The right gear can make the difference between a great ride and a miserable one. You should wear warm base layers and then have good outer layers. Avoid cotton and denim; once it gets wet it stays wet. For base layers, we recommend merino wool, alpaca or other cold weather tech materials. Socks – wool and alpaca are best. Look at hunting socks for options. Avoid cotton, unless you like cold, wet feet.  You will want to have warm winter boots; insulated Muck style boots work well. We have some glove options, but good winter gloves are crucial for warm hands; the warmer the better.
