Lakeland Figure Skating Club presents “An American Road Trip”
The Lakeland Figure Skating Club will take you and your family on a journey around the country during their Annual Ice Show this Saturday and Sunday. “An American Road Trip” features numbers and themes of popular music from musicals, movies and more from across the United States.
The Ice Show takes place at the Lakeland Hawks Ice Arena at 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, and at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 23. Local skaters ages 5 and up will showcase what they’ve been working on. Audiences will delight in popular music, sparkling costumes and dazzling choreography from skaters just learning how to skate through high school skaters performing gravity-defying jumps and spins. And when the lights go down, get ready for the always thrilling blacklight number.
At intermission, concessions and snacks will be available, along with 50/50 raffles and the popular “Chuck a Duck” raffle, where audience members toss a rubber duck onto the ice during intermission.
Tickets are available at the door for $6, $5 for students K-12, and 5 and under are free. The Lakeland Figure Skating Club thanks supporting businesses and volunteers who make this show possible. All proceeds from the show and raffles support the non-profit Lakeland Hawks Ice Association. For more information, see http://www.lakelandarena.org./
