➤ A Themed Zentangle Project

Your CZT will guide you through a project such as:

• A multi-tangle artwork on a Zendala (round tile)
• A 2–4 tile mosaic that fits together as one design
• A renaissance or black tile composition with highlights
• A nature-inspired piece (botanical tangles, organic flow)
• A string-guided illustration (e.g., feathers, hearts, landscapes, abstracts)

The project varies by instructor but always includes a thoughtful, beautiful final artwork.

A project class often combines several skills:

➤ Advanced or Featured Tangles

Learn 2–6 tangles chosen specifically for the project, broken down step-by-step.

➤ Composition & Flow

How to connect tangles, balance contrast, and create visual movement in a larger design.

➤ Special Techniques

Depending on the project, you may explore:

• Auras & layering
• Organic shapes and botanical tangles
• Reticula & fragments
• Working on renaissance or black tiles
• White gel pen for highlights
• Tinting or special shading methods

➤ Purposeful Shading

Your CZT will demonstrate deeper, more intentional shading that brings the project to life with dimension and depth.

• Victoria Grundy is a professionally trained artist whose work spans watercolor, ink, and acrylic media. Her creative journey took a delightful turn when she discovered the Zentangle® Method in a magazine article—an encounter that sparked a lasting fascination. In 2014, she became a Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) and has since spent five years guiding local students through this meditative and mesmerizing artform.

Victoria’s Zentangle artwork has been published in two books and featured by a well-known marker company, reflecting her distinctive style and dedication to the craft. She is passionate about sharing the calming, creative power of the Zentangle Method and inspiring others to explore their own artistic potential.
