MECCA Trails hosts its annual Candlelight Ski, Shoe Hike community event.  The 1 mile candlelit trail is a wonderful winter outing.  Skiers, snowshoes and hikers are welcome.  Enjoy the warmth of a bonfire and the chalet.  Try a taste of chili, hot chocolate, and cookies.  There is no charge for the event.   MECCA Ski Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer organization, donations are appreciated.

The library will be providing an addition to the MECCA candlelight ski this weekend — we’ll be adding a “StoryWalk” to the trail, featuring the children’s story “Over and Under the Snow” by Kate Messner and Christopher Silas Neal. The story can be read one page at a time as you progress along the trail.
