As if the flying squirrels of North America weren’t extraordinary enough, we recently discovered that they are bio fluorescent. Under UV light, flying squirrels fluoresce bright pink, just like the owls that live with them in the forests of the north woods.

Professor Paula Anich presents ongoing research on flying squirrels and other bio fluorescent mammals that’s happening at Northland College. Join us for a discussion of natural history, evolution, and chemistry and prepare for more questions than answers!

An evening of delicious nibbles and expanding your knowledge. Cash bar and complimentary appetizers from 5 – 6 PM, program from 6 – 7 PM.  Registration required by April 7. Program held at Camp Jorn YMCA. Thursday, 5 – 7 PM. $17 ($14 members) $20 at the door.
