Upcycle a Oui yogurt container into a charming trinket jar!

This little basket starts with your choice of dyed reed spokes inserted into a 2-inch wooden base.  Then, using natural cane, this project works up quickly in continuous weaving techniques.  You’ll learn how the spiral “magically” travels up the side of the jar, depending on whether you use an even or an odd number of spokes.  Shaping is easy because the jar is used as a mold.  Top off the project with a bamboo lid.

This is a perfect beginner project and a great way for those with some weaving experience to gain confidence in continuous weaving methods.

All materials and use of the instructor’s tools are included.

Dimensions: 2 ¾” diameter x 3 ½”” H

Long time basket weaver and instructor Dianne Mockler will guide you every step of the way. Dianne calls the Northwoods home and shares her love of basket weaving by teaching throughout the area.  She especially enjoys working with beginners because they are amazed at what they can accomplish in just one class.

PLEASE NOTE: Wear clothes that can get a bit wet. Bring a bag lunch and an old towel.
