Watercolor: Color and Texture Exploration at LOLA
Explore the power of complementary colors in this hands-on watercolor painting class with Donna Lenard! Learn how to combine vibrant color pairings and experiment with scraping techniques to create realistic rock textures. Students will have the opportunity to complete two small watercolor paintings (7.5 x 11” each) using professional-grade paper and paints for high-quality results. This class is open to all painting experience levels from beginner to accomplished artist. All supplies are included.

- If a class is canceled a full refund will be issued.
- Refunds will not be issued after the registration date closes.
- Students who request a refund prior to the registration deadline will be given the option of receiving the full amount in the form of a gift certificate for future classes OR a refund for the balance minus a $5.00 service fee.

Artist Bio:
For more than two decades, Donna Lenard has been delving into the world of watercolor. In the early 2000s, her artistic journey led her to Alaska, where she found invaluable guidance at the Watercolor Society in Fairbanks. Immersed in the vibrant art scenes of Fairbanks, Ester, and Denali, Donna became a familiar face, showcasing her talent and contributing to the local community through her art. Over the years, she has sold numerous paintings and generously supported various charitable causes.
Now residing in Hancock, MI, Donna continues to actively participate in the art scene. She frequents events like the Poor Artist Sale, Eagle Harbor Art Fair, and Copper Harbor’s Art in the Park, showcasing her latest works and engaging with fellow artists and art enthusiasts. Additionally, Donna shares her wealth of knowledge and expertise by teaching her watercolor techniques at esteemed institutions such as the Calumet Art Center, Copper Country Associated Artists, The Bonifas in Escanaba, and The FolkSchool in the Porkies. Her passion for teaching shines through as she empowers aspiring artists to explore and master the beauty of watercolor painting.
