WordPress 101
WordPress currently runs over 30% of all websites, making it the most widely used website content management system available today. But amazingly, it’s free to install and easy enough for most average computer users to use.
Learn the basics of WordPress in a free class with librarian Teresa Schmidt on Thursday, December 13th at 11:00 a.m. at the Mercer Public Library. We’ll take a look at what you need to get started, how to select a template for your website, what plugins are and when you need them, and how to plan an effective website.
This class is a good starting place for those who want to build their own website for a business or organization, as well as those who want to be an informed consumer when hiring a professional website designer. Attendees should have a basic understanding of how to get around on the web. This will not be a hands-on class, but will focus on demonstrating the features of WordPress and how to use them.
There’s no cost to attend, and all are welcome. For more information, call the library at 715-476-2366
