The Club will assist getting your rifle sited in so you will get that trophy deer. Targets and ear plugs for purchase to use for your sighting.  There will be sandwiches, desserts and beverages too. 8am-4pm

Thanksgiving Basket distribution will take place at the Mercer Food Pantry in the Mercer Town Hall. If you are in need of a basket, give Louise a call at 715-476-7655.

We have so much to be thankful for and want to make sure everyone that is in need in the Mercer area is serviced.

Natural Ornament Making

Kick off the holiday season with natural ornament making! We will be using natural materials to make fun ornaments. Follow our examples, or get creative and make your own! Fun for the whole family, and a great way to get a head start on holiday gifts. Pre-registration required by 11/16.  $5/person ($3 kids 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult)

Naturally Made: Pamper Yourself
Nov 17 @ 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

 Join us to make some luxurious products for yourself or to give away as a gift! Using a variety of natural materials, we will make bath bombs, a ground coffee eye mask, lavender milk bath, and chamomile foot soak. Your body (and your senses) will thank you!          Space is limited. Pre-register by 11/13.         $20 ($15 members).

Rhinelander area Community Band

Community bands are going strong throughout the country, and the Northwoods has its very own. The well-known Rhinelander Area Community Band, featuring dedicated musicians from teens to seniors, brings its fall concert to the Nicolet stage this year with a lively, varied program to please all ages.

Mercer Tai Chi
Nov 19 @ 9:00 am – 10:15 am

Tai Chi has been proven to increase balance and prevent falls. The discipline improves joint movement and strengthens the core muscles as well as the legs and arms.  The class is held on a donation basis. Wear sturdy shoes that tie, such as tennis shoes, and bring a water bottle.   Please Note:  There will NOT be a class on Nov. 5th.

Appointments are necessary for foot care, but not for the diabetes screening.

The food pantry will also be open that day for your shopping convenience.

The Mercer Lions and Iron County Health Department support this activity.

The Mercer Area Chamber of Commerce will be closed today and the Friday after Thanksgiving so that our staff may enjoy the holiday weekend with their families. We’ll be open on Monday, November 26 at 9am.

Black River Scenic Byway Photography Book Release

Join the Copper Peak team, November 23rd, for the exciting release of the first ever Black River Scenic Byway 72-page photography book featuring the Black River, Copper Peak, the Black River Scenic Byway, Ottawa National Forest, North Country Trail, and more. All photographs were generously DONATED by local photographers. Meet the photographers, purchase a book, and enjoy light refreshments. All profits will benefit Copper Peak, a nonprofit 501(c)3.
